Vineyard-Side Chat featuring Jaimee Motley, Winemaker at Stony Hill Vineyard

Your first day of wine tasting will start with breakfast and an intimate ‘Vineyard-Side Chat’ with Stony Hill’s winemaker, Jaimee Motley.  Jaimee will share her wine background, which ranges from fine wine vineyards to fine dining restaurants,  and her approach to making age-worthy wine for this legendary winery.  As the first post-prohibition winery in Napa Valley, Stony Hill has been making premium wine since the early 50s.  Jaimee will guide you through the estate’s unique history and a tasting featuring their historical white grape varieties: Chardonnay, Riesling, and Gewurztraminer. 

Exploring Napa Cabernet featuring Brittany Sherwood, Director of Winemaking at Heitz Cellars

Up next, lunch and tasting at the historic Heitz Cellars.  You will spend the afternoon learning why Heitz is the poster child for classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon and how it has shaped the history of Napa Cabernet.  Then, Heitz’s winemaker, Brittany Sherwood, will guide you through a tasting featuring some of the award-winning Cabs from different vineyards in Napa Valley. You will also enjoy a gourmet box lunch from Chef Thomas Keller’s restaurant Ad Hoc. 

The Best of Both Worlds Tasting featuring Laura Oskwarek, Winemaker at Silver Oak & Vanessa Hart, Associate Winemaker at Twomey

Our last stop on the first day will feature the Silver Oak Family.  One family, two iconic brands: Silver Oak & Twomey.  You will enjoy a tasting led by the incredible team of women winemakers, Laura Oskwarek at Silver Oak and Vanessa Hart at Twomey.  The tasting will feature Silver Oak’s classic Cabernet Sauvignon and Twomey’s Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and Merlot. 

The Art of Sparkling Wine featuring Remi Cohen, CEO at Domaine Carneros

Your second day of wine tasting will start with lunch and bubbles at the picturesque Domaine Carneros château, founded by the family behind Champagne Taittinger.  Domaine Carneros is the benchmark for producing sparkling wines in Napa Valley.  You will be taken on a culinary journey with a 5-course Moroccan-style lunch paired with Domaine Carneros’ méthode traditionelle sparkling wines.  You will also meet CEO, Remi Cohen, whose leading the charge in keeping the Taittinger tradition going in Napa Valley.

The Story Behind Brown Estate Terroir featuring Coral Brown, Director of Winemaking at House of Brown (Brown Estate’s Sister Label)

The next stop is Brown Estate Downtown.  Brown Estate is the first Black-owned estate winery in Napa Valley and is currently run by the 2nd generation siblings.  This unique terroir-driven tasting will showcase the intriguing story of Brown Estate’s distinctly different Zinfandels, alongside the other varietal wines grown on their estate. As you taste, you will have an opportunity to meet some of the phenomenal women behind the Brown Estate brand. 

Brendel After Dark featuring Cassandra Felix, Director at Brendel Wines

Our second day of tasting will end with a WINE DOWN at Brendal’s new tasting room in downtown Napa, hosted by Cassandra Felix, Director/Advance Sommelier.  Brendel is a new brand that’s forward-thinking, edgy and serves as a creative outlet for the winemakers under the Lawrence family estates.  As part of the first private event held at the tasting room, you will enjoy a late-night tasting in a laid-back atmosphere featuring Brendel’s inaugural 2019 vintage and bites. 

The ‘Regenerative Farming’ Experience featuring Meghan Zobeck, Winemaker at Burgess Cellars

Our third day will kick off with a fun and interactive farming experience and wine tasting led by Burgess Cellars winemaker Meghan Zobeck. Burgess has over 150 years of rich history in Napa Valley, with the first vines planted on the hillsides of Howell Mountain in 1870. This experience will show you first-hand why Burgess is the pioneer of making age-worthy wines, with regenerative farming practices that will ensure the health of these vines for generations to come. 

After lunch, you'll have time to explore Napa on your own. Your hosts will be able to provide assistance with the planning of your day.

The Last Supper + Paired Wine featuring Chef Cindy Pawlcyn, Owner and Executive Chef at Mustards Grill

Our last experience on the tour will be our finale dinner at the legendary Mustards Grill.  You will enjoy a 3-course meal featuring cuisine from award-winning Chef Cindy Pawlcyn.  Mustards Grill has been around since 1983, and it’s the hub for good food and wine in the valley.  ‘The Last Supper’ will showcase some of Chef Cindy’s famous dishes paired with wines from the valley and around the world, building on our experiences during the tour and providing global context.

After a week of fun, we’ll depart home. A perfect time to chat with your friends about all the fun things you’ve done, the great sights you’ve seen, the great wine you tasted, and where your next group trip will take you!
